Essay type Agree & disagree:06

The increasing housing problem in big cities has social consequences. Some people say that governments can solve problem.Do you agree or disagree with this statements?

Owing to the rise in population and polarization of people towards mega cities from small towns, the accommodation problem is mounting in all metropolises. This leads to other social troubles for the people as well. To encounter this issue, both governmental authorities and individuals have to share the responsibility.

The government can take some important steps in solving the housing problem. to being with, it should develop adequate infrastructure in big cities that help families and communities to live together peacefully and infrastructure in big cities that help families and communities to live together peacefully and synergistically. Also, it has to keep a strict administrative check on the real estate sector. Next, migration towards cities from villages is a major reason for housing problems in large cities. To prevent this, government should develop small towns and villages and provide facilities like employment ,healthcare, education, inter-connectivity  and transportation, water, irrigation and so on.

On the other hand, at the individual level citizens need to pay their taxes regularly for the government to be able to provide them with better infrastructure . Also, they have to take responsibility for the maintenance of their urban environment and build their houses or commercial units on accordance with governmental bylaws.Illegal occupations have to be stopped and individuals have to be willing to give up a part of their property if that is the need for the construction of a road or an under bridge etc.

Finally, it is true that government can do a lot in reducing social problem that arise due to housing scarcity in big cities. However, people at an individual level can also contribute to solve the problems. Thus, I opine that it certainly has to be a joint endeavour of both, people and government.
